Testing

I'm testing my computer savvy-ness late at night... (naturally) Just want to see how I can create slide shows if I want to from our Russia photos....

Great slideshow.

As for packing, we did the same packing in two separate suitcases with some of our belongings in both. As for food, we only brought peanut butter and crackers and candy (and snacks for the orphanage). We had most items on us with the travel peanut butter containers in the suitcase (the travel peanut butter is a must). We mainly found ourselves eating potato chips, candy bars, and candy during our time in Russia. Anything else can be bought in country.

Just to give you an idea of how I packed, I brought a 1 gallon Ziploc filled with easter candy (Kit Kats, Candy Bars, etc.). When I pulled it out of my backpack at the airport, two Russian men started to point and laugh at me. Since I was to wait in the Domestic airport for almost 9 hours b/w flights, I didn't care. If I wasn't going to be able to eat until I got Aeroflot food, I was going to enjoy my sackful of candy bars. Ha.

Another thing I did was spend my leftover Russian money (small bills and cash)on potato chips and candy bars in the airport to take on the plane. Once you've eaten Aeroflot food, you'll understand why. Actually, Delta wasn't much better. I lived on chocolate, peanut butter and crackers, and animal cookies!

Carey- I laughed so LOUD when I read about those two Russian men. Just thinkinhg about it puts a smile on my face. You are so funny.... I say, "whatever" to those two men. I'd rather have a Taste of Home...and even be frugal...than pay a lot more for food at the airport terminal.

I plan on packing a ziploc bag of gorp.... one for me and one for Chris. :-) Have to skip the PB though... I hate it. (Other than Reece's Peanut Butter cups, yeah I know I'm weird.) :-)
